Firefighters rescued an 80-year-old from her burning apartment on Monday – and resuscitated her after she collapsed in the stairwell. Residents reported black smoke coming from a window on the seventh floor of an apartment building in Aubing on Monday morning, the fire department said. The firefighters heard cries for help in the stairwell and the emergency services rescued the 80-year-old from her completely smoke-filled apartment. After emergency medical treatment, she was taken to a Munich clinic. The apartment is no longer habitable and the police are investigating the cause of the fire.
