Munich: Visit to the Max-Josef-Stift girls’ school – Munich

from

King Max I. Joseph had a princess. She proudly looks down from the large-format canvas with scepter, orb and crowned head. The picture of the Prince Regent, which in reality never existed, was painted five years ago in the W seminar “The Image of Woman in Art” at the Max-Josef-Stift. It hangs equally in the stairwell of the state grammar school next to the gold-framed oil painting of the Bavarian king who founded the school more than 200 years ago as the “Royal Educational Institute for Daughters of the Higher Classes”.
