A 70-year-old Vespa driver suffered fatal injuries in a traffic accident on Thursday in Obersendling. Although the man was immediately cared for and resuscitated, he died half an hour later at the scene of the accident, the fire brigade and police report.
The man was on his scooter on Wolfratshauser Strasse around 3 p.m. when a 26-year-old driver turned left from Saargemünder Strasse onto Wolfratshauser Strasse. The scooter driver braked, fell and collided with the car. “The impact must have been very strong,” said a police spokesman. Wolfratshauser Strasse was completely closed for three hours.
