On Sunday morning, an unknown person insulted a man from Ukraine and his 13-year-old daughter as Russians, verbally threatened and insulted them. He then spat and punched the man in the face.
The two, who live in Munich, were in a playground on Ganghoferstraße in the Schwanthalerhöhe district at around 9.45 a.m. when a dispute broke out, the police reports. Apparently, the suspect “suggested” the father and daughter, according to the police, that they were not allowed to stay there.
After the attack, the stranger moved to an adjacent residential area. Uninvolved witnesses called the police. A search was unsuccessful. The suspect is said to be around 30 years old, wearing athletic gear, white flip-flops and a silver necklace. The criminal investigation department for politically motivated crimes is investigating.
