Munich: Tyrolean schoolgirl stranded at the main train station – Munich

She stood crying on the mezzanine floor of Munich Central Station: A twelve-year-old from Schwaz in Tyrol was stranded in Munich on Monday. After getting into trouble with her classmates, she fled and got on the next available train. A railway employee and Munich federal police officers took care of the girl.

The train took the girl to Munich Central Station in just over two hours. When the twelve-year-old realized she was in Germany, she panicked. Around 11.30 a.m. the attentive railway employee noticed the crying child. Federal police officers took the student to the station.

They were able to contact the girl’s mother, who was already in the car to Munich and was relieved that her daughter was safely “accommodated” by the federal police at the main train station. The two of them were able to start the return journey to Austria together.
