Three concerts, a total of more than 300,000 visitors and a few questions afterwards: Messe München does not yet want to draw a conclusion after the series of major events organized by the Leutgeb concert agency at the Riem exhibition center. After the last concert, that of Robbie Williams last Saturday, one would “calmly take stock”, said a spokeswoman on Monday on request. For economics officer Clemens Baumgärtner (CSU), on the other hand, the concerts were a success “from the point of view of business and tourism”. Discussions with industry players showed that hotels, restaurants and retail had recorded increases in sales.
