At Marienhof, the third underground level has been excavated since the summer, where it is 24 meters underground. In Laim, a 500-ton concrete cover was moved in November to prepare the station for the new building. And between Isar and Ostbahnhof? At least the building permit has now been issued for the almost three kilometer tunnel section. Six and a half years after the day on which then Prime Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) and Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD), among others, pressed a red button to officially begin construction of the second S-Bahn main line.
