Anyone who purchases natural gas from Stadtwerke (SWM) benefits in December from the so-called emergency aid from the federal government and does not pay a one-time discount for heat or natural gas. This is an interim solution for the planned gas price brake. Household customers and small and medium-sized companies with an annual consumption of up to 1500 megawatt hours are entitled to immediate aid.
The SWM are now announcing how they want to proceed. In the case of direct debit, the natural gas advance or installment payments are not collected in December or are reversed again in a first step. In a second step, the relief amount is determined. This will be taken into account at the latest with the first invoice, the billing period of which covers the month of December 2022.
