A visit to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof cost a 79-year-old woman from the Miesbach district dearly. According to police, when she left the hotel shortly before midnight last Wednesday, a passer-by who seemed to be passing by offered to help her get into her car.
The woman refused, but the man didn’t accept it and helped her into the car anyway. He apparently managed to steal a bracelet from the woman unnoticed. According to police, the diamond-studded piece is worth more than 100,000 euros.
The woman didn’t notice the theft until the next day and reported it to the police. They are now looking for witnesses who made suspicious observations at Promenadeplatz on February 28th at around 11:50 p.m. The perpetrator is described as around 45 years old, with gray hair and a short gray beard.
