Munich: The workshop cinema is dedicating a showcase to filmmaker Sandra Prechtel – Munich

Yes, it hurts now, says the daughter. But everything else is a “permanent attempt to escape.” The documentary “Dear Fear” tells the story of an old woman whose mother was deported to Auschwitz, but who never spoke about it her entire life. And he talks about the daughter, who wants to find out more.

Sandra Prechtel’s film was shown in the cinema six months ago, and the workshop cinema is now dedicating a retrospective to the Munich director. A total of five of her films will be shown, including the 2013 portrait of the rebel director Roland Klick (“The Heart is a Hungry Hunter”). Their films have influenced their own work, which is why click classics such as “White Star”, “Deadlock” and “Supermarkt” are also shown as part of the retrospective. Sandra Prechtel will be present at all screenings.
