A serious accident occurred on Monday morning in a gym in Munich-Freiham. A visitor to the studio was hit so hard by a suddenly falling window near a window front while he was training on the equipment that he was unconscious, reports the fire brigade.
The window came loose for an unknown reason. Those present immediately provided first aid and alerted the emergency services via the emergency call. Due to the injury pattern of the accident victim, the helpers had to take him out of the building with a turntable ladder. A team from the rescue helicopter Christoph 1, which had just flown over the site, was immediately called in to further treat the injured person. The emergency services then took him to the shock room of a Munich clinic.
The wife of the accident victim, who was also training in another department of the studio, had to be given psychological care by the fire brigade. The police are investigating the course of the accident and, according to their own statements, are also checking whether negligent bodily harm has occurred – and who could be responsible.
