“In the past, people went to concerts to break out of reality. Today, to experience reality,” philosophizes Maurice Ernst in chic Austrian – and it won’t be the only succinct sentence with which the singer of the band Bilderbuch entices his audience on St. Nicholas Eve the Muffathalle illuminated. The reality that Bilderbuch brings to the club stage on their “Softpower” tour is wild, passionate and extravagant. Maurice Ernst performs in fluffy fur arm warmers and aviator sunglasses. Playing next to him are guitarist Michael Krammer in a fine checkered 70s suit, Peter Horazdovsky, whose bass dangles on a black ribbon with a marijuana print in front of his bright red two-piece suit, and drummer Philipp Scheibl, dressed in a beanie and cycling glasses.
