Munich: The owner wants to rebuild a listed villa without barriers and is suing – Munich

At the end of this lengthy trial, during which some arguments were put forward twice or three times and in the meantime even the cleaning lady knocked on the door of the courtroom – after all that, Judge Josef Beil summarizes the events in one sentence: “Then we have now exchanged ideas, but we’re still not that far.” In other words, the 8th chamber of the Administrative Court in Munich does not see itself in a position to judge whether the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments (BLfD) has rightly placed the villa at Queen Street 26 under monument protection. Or whether there are insufficient reasons for this, as the owner is convinced, who wants to demolish the building in favor of a new building.
