When an intervention center was set up at the district office in 2012 to help women and children who are victims of domestic violence, there were voices that domestic violence was not an issue in the affluent district of Munich. The opposite is the case. Today there are seven employees, all trained trauma advisors, by the side of those affected. Advice is provided free of charge, voluntarily, confidentially and, if desired, anonymously.
