Munich: The documentary “Namaste Himalaya” – Munich

A story about self-discovery, love and solidarity in the new Maxim cinema: The film “Namaste Himalaya – How a village in Nepal opened the world to us” tells the touching story of Michael Moritz and Anna Baranowski, two globetrotters who, when the pandemic broke out in Beach Nepal. When the cities are sealed off, the two find refuge in the small mountain village of Kathmandu. Distrustful, locals greet them with “Namaste Corona”, concerned about the virus the western visitors may bring with them. But Anna and Moritz quickly become part of a community and experience the individual fates of their neighbors up close. Anna Baranowski and Michael Moritz have now summarized their five-month experiences in a documentary film. The performance will be supplemented by a reading from the almost eponymous book “Namaste Corona” (Piper), written by Michael Moritz.
