It’s a disaster to watch. Not only because two men have lost their jobs and the Munich Diakonie is without a spokesman for the board or the head of the supervisory board. But because people are mentally injured, because a woman has apparently experienced the feeling of powerlessness, because the reputation of two previously respected men has been damaged and the Diakonie Munich and Upper Bavaria has been badly shaken. The evangelical social enterprise, which used to trade as Inner Mission, is one of the most important welfare actors in and around Munich. 200 facilities, 5000 employees, 2500 volunteers who are there for people in need.
