Munich: teenagers get involved with civil patrols – Munich

The wrong opponents had been chosen by five high-spirited boys between the ages of 17 and 19 from the districts of Freising and Munich when they were obviously looking for a (competition) dispute on Leopoldstrasse on Thursday at around 1.30 a.m. Because the teenagers were speeding out of town in their Opel Zafira much too quickly, they were noticed by a civilian patrol by the Munich traffic police. In order to measure the speed of the Opel using their video system, the officers sat down in front of the Opel with their vehicle. Its driver then accelerated to around 90 kilometers per hour, drove up close and flashed the headlights several times. At a red traffic light, the Opel then drove next to the police officer’s vehicle, with the passenger telling them: “Let’s pull over and we’ll sort it out.” The plainclothes police immediately complied with this request. Now the 18-year-old driver has an ad for driving at excessive speed and his passenger has one for insult.
