Munich: Storm causes scaffolding to collapse – 200,000 euros in damage – Munich

Scaffolding collapsed on Grünwalder Straße. A man was slightly injured and the property damage is around 200,000 euros. Police and fire departments report that the storm on Saturday afternoon overturned the scaffolding of a multi-story house opposite the Grünwalder Stadium and three cars were damaged. In one sat a man who was apparently very lucky and was only slightly injured. His son was standing under the scaffolding and was uninjured. The fire brigade spent three hours dismantling the bent and tensioned steel struts. Two turntable ladders, a crane and special equipment from the Unterhaching volunteer fire department were used. The municipal utility repaired the tram overhead line, which was torn off at one point.
