The City of Munich’s housing barometer shows that while purchase prices are falling, rental prices are continuing to rise. In order to avoid the rental price brake, more and more landlords are using a trick.

Munich is getting cheaper. At least in some places. And at least when it comes to buying real estate. Newly built condominiums were offered for an average of 13,500 euros per square meter in 2022, with a downward trend in the second half of the year. This is shown by the housing market barometer published by the Department of Urban Planning.
