Munich: “Slippery Slope” at the Metropoltheater – Munich

Cancel culture, appropriation and abuse of power, all wrapped up in a musical? Sounds weird, but it works. Yael Ronen proves that with her play “Slippery Slope – Almost a Musical”, which Philipp Moschitz is now staging at the Metropoltheater. It’s about the toxic male pop singer Gustav, whose art has long since fallen out of time and even falls into the category of appropriation. An affair – or abuse of power – brings him down, but he doesn’t want to let it sit on him and seeks revenge.

Slippery Slope, premiere on Thursday, July 6, 7:30 p.m., Metropoltheater, www.metropoltheater.com
