Munich: Senior causes accident with advertising pillar on Donnersbergerbrücke – Munich

A 75-year-old driver was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Thursday morning. As the fire department reports, the man was traveling south on the Donnersberger Bridge in his Opel Corsa around 8:15 a.m. On the exit to Landsberger Straße he came onto the cycle and footpath, first hitting a traffic sign that had been torn out of the ground, and then an advertising pillar. According to the fire department, this was “halved” and “displaced” by about ten meters due to the impact.

A first aider looked after the driver and was later replaced by rescue workers. They removed the door of the car to get the man out. He was taken to a clinic. During the clean-up work, the exit to Landsberger Straße was completely and later partially closed, and there were significant traffic delays. The police are investigating the cause of the accident and the property damage is currently unknown, according to the fire department.
