The man who always protected Arnold Schwarzenegger during his Oktoberfest visits in Munich has to go to prison: The 6th Criminal Chamber at the Munich I District Court sentenced the bodyguard to four years and seven months in prison. The chamber, chaired by Andrea Wagner, considered it proven that Fabian P., as a self-employed security guard, had evaded taxes in 15 cases. It was about a damage sum of almost one million euros.

The 36-year-old Fabian P. had already confessed at the start of the process. The criminal court, in consultation with all those involved in the process, had signaled to him in a mutual agreement that if he confessed, the sentence would be between four and a half and five years. The bodyguard, who comes from Saxony-Anhalt, set up his own event and security company in Munich in 2007. From 2012 to 2016 another security company was added – however under the data of his friend M.

Marcel M. was also in court for aiding and abetting tax evasion. He was sentenced to one year and seven months in prison. The court suspended the sentence. Because the chamber came to the conclusion that Fabian P. was in fact the sole operator of the second company. From 2012 to 2016 P. did not submit a tax return and wrote fictitious invoices from one company to the other. The court assumed total damage of 898,000 euros.

The bodyguard had already been sentenced to two years and ten months in prison in 2019 for violating the Weapons and War Weapons Act. He is said to have illegally acquired a submachine gun and four other pistols. He had buried a gun in the garden of his holiday home. Fabian P. appealed against the verdict and had the sentence reduced to two years and two months and the court set him free, especially since the social prognosis was favorable and there was no risk of absconding. The court has now combined this suspended sentence into a total sentence. Both men can appeal against the judgment of the Trial Chamber.
