A bus crashed into a house wall on Schleißheimerstrasse on Thursday afternoon. According to the fire department, the vehicle was unoccupied except for the driver. Six other vehicles and several street signs were damaged.
When fire and rescue services arrived at the scene of the accident, the driver was trapped in the bus, the fire department reports. The firefighters gained access via the rear bus door and, together with the forces of an emergency medical vehicle, treated the 55-year-old driver. He was then rescued from the bus through the rear door and transported injured to a Munich clinic. Another car driver was slightly injured in the collision. She received medical care at the scene of the accident.
The police are now investigating the cause of the accident and assessing the damage to the building. The fire department could not quantify the amount of damage caused.
