Munich-Schwabing: Bus crashes into house wall – fire brigade frees bus driver – Munich

A bus crashed into a house wall on Schleißheimer Strasse on Thursday afternoon. According to the fire department, the vehicle was unoccupied except for the driver. Six other vehicles and several street signs were damaged.

When the fire brigade and rescue services arrived at the scene of the accident, the man was trapped in the bus, the fire brigade reports. The rescuers gained access through the rear bus door and, together with the forces of an emergency medical vehicle, treated the 55-year-old. He was then taken out of the bus through the rear door and transported injured to a Munich clinic. Another car driver suffered minor injuries in the collision. She received medical care at the scene of the accident.

The police are now investigating the cause of the accident. The fire department was unable to quantify the amount of damage caused.
