What can teachers do to prevent violence in schools? Is there enough time for prevention and social skills? The middle school teacher Isabel Franz reports on quarrels via Whatsapp and frustration among the students.

After the mistreatment of a twelve-year-old student by her classmates at the Carl-von-Linde-Realschule two weeks ago and another case that only became known on Thursday, many are asking: How could this happen? And what do parents and teachers have to do to prevent something like this from happening again? Isabel Franz is a teacher at the middle school on Simmernstraße and second chairwoman of the Munich Teachers’ Association (MLLV). She says that good cooperation is essential, but that there is hardly any time left for that.
