Three men are said to have forced their short-sighted victim to withdraw money from an ATM at Ostbahnhof – without glasses and right next to the door to the federal police station. The officers are watching what is happening from their surveillance camera.
They were completely drunk at the time of the crime: the alleged main perpetrator and also his alleged victim. But that’s not the only strange thing about a case that is being tried as a particularly serious case of predatory extortion before the 8th criminal chamber at the Munich I district court and has slapstick characteristics. The three defendants, Wael O. and his acquaintances Jafer M. and Cabdir H., are said to have first taken away an extremely short-sighted man’s glasses and cell phone and then forced him to withdraw 50 euros from his account at an ATM at the point of a knife to give it to them.
