Munich: Robber shoots victim in the face – Munich

A previously unknown man shot a 28-year-old from Bergisch-Gladbach in the face with a blank pistol at close range during a robbery in Neuperlach on Thursday evening. The victim suffered burns but was able to call the emergency services himself. According to initial information from the police, no permanent damage is expected.

The attack happened shortly after 7 p.m. near Brittingweg and Ständlerstrasse. The 28-year-old was initially approached by the perpetrator from a distance – when he did not react, the unknown person approached. When the 28-year-old continued to behave negatively, the unknown man suddenly pulled out a blank-firing revolver and fired it from close range. The 28-year-old then fell to the ground and the perpetrator stole his cash, around 300 euros. He then fled towards Gerhart-Hauptmann-Ring.

The victim describes the perpetrator as being in his early 20s, slim, between 1.70 and 1.80 meters tall, with dark, wavy hair, a dark beard and an “overall oriental appearance”. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood and black sweatpants. Witnesses are asked for information by calling 089/29100. In particular, people who came to the 28-year-old’s aid at the crime scene are asked to come forward.
