There is still a lot of activity in the glass bakery of the Rischart bakery in the Gärtnerplatz district. The workers there still knead dough, twirl pretzels and bake cakes. In the foreseeable future this will be over. According to Rischart, the current bakery on Buttermelcherstrasse is bursting at the seams. Because things are getting tight, a new building for the company is currently being built on Theresienhöhe. The bakery, the company headquarters, 100 company apartments, a boarding house and a café are to be accommodated in it. The move into the new building is currently planned for the second quarter of 2024.
