Munich: Reading with Ralph Hammerthaler about hooligans – Munich

For hooligans, violence seems to be part of their philosophy of life. The author Ralph Hammerthaler has taken on this in his latest book “Short novel about Hooligan Til”. On Thursday and Friday, March 9th and 10th, he will read from his story about a protagonist whose life revolves around a job in the middle management level of a logistics company, being the doorman at the nightclub, his girlfriend and football.

The Berlin writer describes in neither euphemistic nor damning ways how Til lives out his passion for football between his work as a youth coach and brutal riots. It will be shown that Til – doer type, broad-shouldered and muscular – is not invulnerable. The readings take place in the bookshop CoLibris and the railbus “Minna Thiel” of the culture project Bahnwärter Thiel.
