Munich: Public prosecutors determined after the death of girls in the hotel – Munich

After the death of the seven-year-old girl in a hotel in the Isarvorstadt, the Munich I public prosecutor’s office initiated a death investigation. A spokeswoman said it was a “special preliminary investigation” that was intended to clarify whether there were any indications of criminal behavior in connection with the girl’s death. The procedure is definitely not directed against the accused, since it is not clear whether there is a criminal offense at all.

The child was killed on Friday evening in the hotel courtyard by a stone statue weighing 200 kilograms and 1.40 meters high. Whether the sculpture was anchored in the ground is just as much part of the investigation as the exact course of events that led to the overturning, said the spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office. According to the police, the questioning of the parents has not yet been completed.
