Munich: Prominent newcomers to the Munich Film School – Munich

Science and Art Minister Markus Blume (CSU) spoke of an “Oscar-worthy coup” when he recently announced the new guest professors at the Munich Film School. The renowned creative artists Mo Asumang, Hans-Christian Schmid, Tucké Royale and Matthias Zentner share two new professorships, which primarily focus on the topics “Hybrid Narrative Forms” and “Creative Direction”. The term of the professorships is three years.

Mo Asumang is an author, director, producer, presenter and lecturer. Together with Hans-Christian Schmid, also an author, director (“After Five in the Jungle”) and producer, she is responsible for the area of ​​”hybrid narrative forms”. The artists Tucké Royale and Matthias Zentner are also multi-talented and want to work together for “Creative Direction – in the area of ​​diversity and excellence”.

The University of Television and Film (HFF) applied for top professorships as part of the Bavarian High-Tech Agenda with the concept “Visionary voices for Bavaria: promoting talent through top performance and diversity” and was awarded the contract. She will thus receive funding for two 100 percent professorships as part of the top professorship program of the Bavarian art academies.
