Munich: Premiere of Alfred Dorfer’s “Spinnen” in the Lustspielhaus – Munich

The exposition is introduced briefly and painlessly: an author (Arnd Schimkat) receives an order for a play from a theater director (Kathrin Stahl) who is constantly on the phone and belongs to the managerial caste, who is more aloof from the content: “I still have an interview. Ten minutes, that’s enough for you ? You write!” Alfred Dorfer’s theatrical comedy “Spiders” gets off to such a high speed in an in-house production at the Lustspielhaus. As a modern variation of Pirandello’s “Six People Looking for an Author” and Woody Allen’s “Purple Rose of Cairo”, the characters envisioned by the author materialize, first search for their identity together with him and increasingly begin to develop a life of their own.
