Munich: policeman intoxicated at the station, but acquitted – Munich

A police officer is being tried in front of the Munich district court, who is said to have fled from a search on a scooter – and that with THC in his blood. The procedure provides insights into how things sometimes went in the district in the old town.

Actually, the police were on the doorstep of police officer Moritz K. that February morning in 2020 because of something completely different: his apartment and room in the infirmary in the Altstadtwache were to be searched, he was suspected of being involved in one of the biggest police scandals in Germany , it was about a dealer and lots of drugs. But that’s why K. hasn’t – yet – been summoned before the district court. On the day of the searches, he is said to have sped off on his scooter in front of the investigators, from his apartment to the police station, while “using intoxicating substances”. An allegation that judge Andreas Szymanowski classified as “undetectable”.
