Munich: Policeman choked unconscious in a restaurant – Munich

A police officer was injured in his free time on Thursday evening. The 39-year-old was with acquaintances in a Greek restaurant in the Isar suburb, where an obviously drunk man tried several times to get into conversation with the group. After being rejected, the stranger initially left, but later returned. He suddenly took the 39-year-old in a chokehold from behind and pulled him off the chair. As the police announced on Sunday, the victim fell unconscious for a short time and fell to the ground. Alerted patrol crews arrested the culprit in the restaurant. It is a 33-year-old Munich man who was found to have an alcohol level of around two per thousand. The motive for his assault is unclear. The policeman he abused was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
