The police witnessed a rape in the Old Botanical Garden in Munich on Sunday night. A 27-year-old is accused of abusing a 28-year-old on a beer bench outside the Park Café at around 4:20 a.m. When officers from the guard at the main station became aware of the situation on the beer bench during a patrol, the man initially fled, the police reports. After a large-scale manhunt with ten strips, the suspect was tracked down and arrested.
The alleged victim and the man had not previously known each other. The woman was taken to a hospital. The Nigerian suspect from the Weilheim-Schongau district was taken into custody.
