The Munich district court has sentenced two police officers who have already been suspended to prison terms of one year and eight months each. The court found it proven that the men had persecuted innocent people and made false statements in court. Andreas Z. was also convicted of coercion, unauthorized use and possession of drugs. Judge Cornelia Amtage said she saw shocking abysses reading the chats. Immediately after the verdict, one of the defense attorneys announced that he would consider an appeal.
