Police have arrested a 29-year-old woman who is suspected of committing at least ten handbag thefts. During a check it turned out that there was an arrest warrant against her, as the police announced on Friday.
According to previous findings, the woman was in various stores and waited for customers or employees to leave their handbags unattended. She then stole either the entire bag or valuables from it. The total damage has not yet been determined. It is being investigated whether the woman is also responsible for other acts.
After the arrest, the room in which the 29-year-old lived was searched. There the police found handbags and jewelry – presumably other stolen goods.
