The police have arrested a car burglar – almost three weeks after the crime. On the night of November 18th to 19th, the suspect is said to have broken the windows of six cars in the parking garage at the Gloria Palace on Stachus and stolen valuables, cosmetics, wallets and cash.
On video recordings, officers from the Old Town Inspectorate recognized an old acquaintance, a 20-year-old with no fixed address but with numerous previous convictions, mainly in the areas of narcotics and drug-related crime. On Sunday around 10 p.m. a patrol discovered the suspect on Landwehrstrasse. When checked, he immediately admitted the crime. He was arrested and an arrest warrant was requested.
