Munich police: Adhesive action by climate activists delayed rescue operation – Munich

The arrival of an ambulance took about ten minutes longer on Monday due to the action of the “last generation”, the officials said. A patient suspected of having a heart attack had to wait longer for help.

According to the police, climate activists delayed the arrival of an ambulance due to a road blockade in Munich. Due to the traffic obstruction as a result of the sticking action, the ambulance arrived at the patient with a delay of about ten minutes, said a police spokesman on Tuesday. According to the current status, the delay caused by the action the day before had no health consequences for the man.

On Monday morning, four men and two women between the ages of 20 and 73 blocked traffic at Stiglmaierplatz by sticking four of them to the street. They were released by police forces – after a good two hours the traffic blocks were lifted again.

In the meantime, however, a nearby doctor’s office had alerted the emergency doctor because a patient was suspected of having a heart attack. “The ambulance that was supposed to go there was briefly stuck in a traffic jam,” said the police spokesman.

Therefore, the commissariat responsible for politically motivated crime is now investigating the suspicion of coercion. “If there was a suspicion that there should be medical implications, that would have an even greater impact. Then you would be in the area of personal injury crimes,” explained the spokesman. But that’s not what it looks like in this specific case.
