Munich: pilot test in Schyrenbad ended – Munich

The municipal utilities tested a new reservation system in Schyrenbad for a day. After the feedback from the visitors and the effort for the employees have been evaluated, there is now a negative conclusion for the pilot test.

Three time periods were available on the day of the experiment. It could be reserved for early swimming, mornings, or afternoons. So far there was a card for the whole day. With the division, it was hoped that more people would be able to visit the outdoor pool, despite the corona-related restrictions on people. The result: the public utilities in the Schyrenbad were not even able to register five percent more guests.

In addition, more staff had to work to regulate the entry and to warn people that they have to leave the bathroom on time for the next shift. The visitors were not very enthusiastic – there was three times more negative than positive feedback. This means that there will be no more shift swimming for the time being.
