A pedestrian was hit by a truck in Munich on Tuesday and died. The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Effnerplatz in the Bogenhausen district, a police spokesman said. A large number of police, fire and rescue services are on site.
Effnerplatz on the Mittlerer Ring, where two tram lines also stop, remained closed for the time being. According to a police spokeswoman, there was initially no evidence that the truck was intentionally driving in the direction of the pedestrian. The police initially had no further information about any other injured people.
