Munich: One-way regulation of Fürstenfelder Straße is reversed – Munich

The Sigi Sommer monument in front of the former Kaut Bullinger property at Rosenstraße 8 had to give way to the upcoming construction site. From Monday, February 20, flesh and blood walkers will also have to avoid this. In the first step of setting up the construction site, the one-way direction of travel on Fürstenfelder Straße will be reversed for more fluid delivery traffic, i.e. westwards away from Rindermarkt. At the same time, on the north side of the street, between Rindermarkt and Rosen-Apotheke, a parking bay for construction vehicles will be set up and the sidewalk will be narrowed by mobile barriers. The disabled parking spaces there will be moved to the south side of Rindermarkt.

From Wednesday, February 22nd, the construction site in front of Rosenstraße 8 will first be cordoned off with mesh fences, and from March onwards with a construction site fence to protect against noise and dust. From mid-April, a gantry crane will be erected at the height of the Ruffinihaus, under which Fürstenfelder Strasse will remain open – although it will have to be narrowed for a few weeks for the installation. The Sigi Summer statue will return to its place after the two-year construction period. The trees in Rosenstrasse are to be cut back but preserved.
