Munich-Obergiesing: Drunk man threatens twelve-year-old with knife – Munich

A man with a knife in his hand caused a major police operation in Obergiesing on Wednesday afternoon. A group of students between the ages of ten and twelve felt threatened by him, so one of the children called 911. Around ten patrol cars then drove to a green area on Chiemgaustraße shortly before 2 p.m.

There it was reported to the officers that the man had made eye contact with a twelve-year-old, held a knife to his own throat and symbolically threatened the child with death. He then fled towards a nearby shared accommodation.

Based on the description of the person, the police arrested a 35-year-old as a suspect in the accommodation in question. The man was visibly drunk; a breath alcohol test showed an astonishing 3.6 per mille. A blood sample was arranged. Officers also searched the man’s room but did not find a knife. The 35-year-old was reported because of the threat.
