Munich North: 2000 “Autoposer” at an unauthorized meeting – Munich

The police were called into action in the north of Munich by an unusually high amount of traffic on Sunday night: the so-called car poser scene drove up to a meeting with up to 2,000 cars that, according to the board, was not reported and therefore not approved – tuned vehicles were supposed to be on display and probably also admired by fans who came on foot.

Up to 1,000 cars had initially gathered in the Aschheim industrial area alone, said a spokeswoman. When it became too crowded there, 500 vehicles moved to Lake Feringa. Several hundred were also spotted in Unterföhring and Eching.

The police checked drivers and documents with more than 150 officers and, according to their own information, found a mid-double-digit number of violations, for example due to unauthorized structures and modifications, and issued expulsions. A few cars even had to be towed because their operating license had expired.
