First the Kaufhof branch moved out, then vacancy, followed by a failed sale and a failed interim use: a lot has gone wrong with the former department store on Stachus in recent years. But now a new perspective is emerging for the prominently located and partially listed property in the city center. The Zechbauer family, the owners, is planning a large-scale renovation with a new use – and a publicly accessible roof terrace.
