Munich: New LMU building for research into zoonoses – Munich

Zoonoses are infectious diseases that are caused, among other things, by bacteria or viruses and are transmitted mutually between animals and people. In order to better research these zoonoses and develop methods to prevent their spread, the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) opened the Institute for Infectious Medicine and Zoonoses at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine on the Oberschleißheim campus on Wednesday. The modern construction cost 73.4 million euros.
