The Munich transport company (MVG) is reducing its bus network offerings from this Wednesday. Due to the ongoing staff shortage, the frequency on many lines is being further reduced. This was already the case with lines X35, 55, 62 and 177 and will be retained. On lines

The X30 express bus, for example, now runs every seven to 13 minutes from Monday to Friday instead of every six to seven minutes, and on Saturdays only every 20 minutes instead of every ten minutes as before. The X35 express bus only runs every 20 minutes instead of every seven to 13 minutes as before. Bus 165 no longer runs from Monday to Saturday. Bus 175 will switch from every ten to 20 minutes during rush hour, as will bus 177 from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Lines 58/68, 145, 155 and 168 are running regularly again.

MVG bus boss Veit Bodenschatz explained: “Like many other transport companies across Germany, we continue to struggle with a staff shortage and have to find ways to deal with it.” Passengers are asked to “understand the situation and the necessary changes”.
