A 50-year-old motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in Giesing. On the night of Sunday, the man drove around 3.35 a.m. on Candidstrasse, in a slight right-hand bend he left the roadway and collided with the central barrier, as the police and fire brigade announced.
The 50-year-old fell to the ground and slid a few meters across the asphalt on the opposite lane. He was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. How the fatal fall came about is still unclear. The section of the Mittlerer Ring was closed for several hours while the accident was being recorded.
