A woman and her two children fell about 15 meters down an escalator at Marienplatz on Tuesday afternoon. According to the fire department, the 42-year-old woman stumbled on the escalator around 4 p.m. Her one-year-old child was sitting in a stroller, her five-year-old child was standing next to her – all three fell down to S-Bahn platform 2 and injured themselves.
Two ambulances and the pediatric emergency doctor treated the family on the track before the mother and her two children were taken to the trauma room of a clinic with moderate injuries. There was no danger to life. It was initially unclear how exactly the fall occurred.
