Criminals try to rob old people of Munich of their fortune with shock calls. Once again, a high five-digit amount was taken from two other victims. The number of attempts at fraud is rising sharply – and with it the number of crimes in which the fraudsters get what they want.
The criminals, who, according to the investigators’ findings, operate from Poland and then send people to pick them up in Munich, are becoming more and more unscrupulous. A native of Poland from Munich received a call in her mother tongue – it was her daughter who was said to have caused a serious traffic accident on the phone.
Another woman from Munich, who was told a similar legend by a false granddaughter, was visited twice on Monday by an alleged detective who took tens of thousands of euros with him as “deposit”. After hours of telephone terror, the perpetrators only let go of their victim when there was nothing left to get from the 91-year-old.
